Today, you take your breakfast at 6:30 am, check out and meet with your driver guide at 7:00 am, and head for Africa’s greatest Masai Mara national reserve. Lunch at your lodge, relax and freshen up then set for a late afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve returning to the lodge just after sunset. Overnight with all meals at Mara Sopa Lodge
Enjoy two full days of game drives in the Masai Mara game reserve. During these three days, you will try to follow migration groups around the Mara River if lucky you will experience them crossing the river while crocodiles are trying to catch/hunt some of the members. In the evening drive back to the Mara Sopa lodge.
Another full-day game drives at Masai Mara game reserve. This starts from sunrise to sunset.
Leaving the wildlife behind us we cross again a region of traditional African farmlands to arrive at the border post of Sirare. We meet with queues of transport lorries that are ferrying goods into central Africa and here we must present our passports for entry into Tanzania. Later on, drive to the central Serengeti national park for dinner and overnight at Into wild tented camp.
After breakfast, you will drive out for a full day of ‘discover Serengeti’ game drives. The day for the big cats – cheetahs, leopards, and lions. Mostly you will go out for a SUNRISE game drive en route to the central Serengeti seronera area. On the way, you will visit the Retima hippo pool. Dinner and overnight at Into wild tented camp.
After an early breakfast you will go out for sunrise game drives to mid-day whereby you will break for your picnic lunch before you leave the park with game drives en route to the Ngorongoro crater rim for dinner and overnight Ngorongoro Rhino lodge.
Rise early for breakfast before you spend a full day exploring the crater floor. The area is world-renowned in its reputation and very small in its scale, so you will see other safari-goers. Don’t let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo, and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot.
Your journey will take you through this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and fro in search of pasture, water, or east prey. Later in the evening drive to Acacia farm lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for full-day game drives. Lake Manyara Park is among Tanzania’s smallest parks. Drive through the lush garden is a gentle reminder that you are now in Africa. In the mid-day, you will have a short break to enjoy a picnic lunch and afterward, you’ll continue game viewing of animals in the park before you drive up to Tarangire for dinner and overnight at Simba tented lodge.
Zebra, wildebeest, bushbuck, dik-dik, and guinea fowl regularly cross your path, unbothered by your benign presence and going about their daily routines. You’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Lake which is home to thousands of Flamingos and the River’s twists and turns, finding elephants drinking and playing in the refreshing waters
After breakfast, you will drive for game drives in the Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s fourth-largest and one of its most diverse. Full-day game drives in the park enjoying viewing animals in the park. Soon, the impressive Great Rift Valley Escarpment will come into view – a 2,000-foot high wall that rises up, improbably steep and incredibly tall, out of the flat plains.
Elephants, Buffalos, pythons are seen easily regularly cross your path, unbothered by your benign presence and going about their daily routines. You’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Tarangire River’s twists and turns, finding elephants drinking and playing in the refreshing waters.
